Contract Services
Generally, in law, parties to a contract are free to contract on
whatever terms they please. However, there are occasions when the law
will not give effect to certain terms in a contract because they are
considered not to be in the public interest. Comsure can assist in the
drafting of contracts which will be held valid by a court and can
review subsisting contracts with the purpose of advising on their
interpretation.
Complaints
It is a fact of life that mistakes occur. Organisations should learn
from their errors, try to keep them to a minimum and ensure that anyone
on the receiving end is suitably compensated. There are occasions when
there is a difference in opinion between the parties as to what
represents sufficient compensation. Where the differences become
entrenched, costly litigation can occur. Comsure recognises that it can
be time-consuming and frustrating dealing with complainants. We can
provide an ongoing complaint handling service, dealing with the
complaint in an objective, fair and professional manner. We will enter
into dialogue with both parties and try to negotiate a happy outcome.

Mediation
Occasionally, communication fails. Where there are legal remedies,
the last stop is to refer the matter to lawyers and seek judgment from
a court. This is a costly and time-consuming process and should be
avoided where possible. Mediation allows the points in dispute to be
clarified and brings the parties together to discuss a pragmatic
solution. Comsure can discuss the issues of your case with you and help
you identify a list of objectives to be sought during mediation.
Alternatively, we may be able to provide an impartial mediator to help
the parties reach agreement.
